Mixed (women 40+, men 50+, with a minimum of two women on the pitch at any time during each game)

Tournament format:

6 players (incl. GK)

2 groups of 5 teams per category

Single round robin (each team plays each other team in the group once)

Game Duration: 20 minutes, no interval, 5-minute break between games

On both days, the start of play will be expected to be at 9 am, end of play at 5:40 pm

Day 1: Single round robin, 4 games per team

Day 2: Intermediate rounds to determine the pairings of the finals and the five finals per group, (minimum of 3 games per team)

Trophies for the winners, medals for the winners and runners-up

Entertainment

We are in negotiations with a regionally well-known band for a charity concert on Saturday, 29 August. We cannot share further details at this stage, but will update once we are in a position to do so.

Tournament Fee

£150 per team

This covers pitch hire, hire of technology and tournament infrastructure, medical support, referees, staff, trophies, medals, and additional expenses for the two days.

The registration will be for the tournament only and does not include any accommodation or other services.

The number of teams per category is limited, registrations will be on a first comes basis, and the registration deadline is 31 March 2026.

After successful registration and payment, the Devon WFC will inform Ashbury Resort about your registration to facilitate the booking of the accommodation.

Please note that as part of the tournament, a minimum of a 2-night stay at the Ashbury Resort is mandatory.

Up to 10 local teams ( Devon and Cornwall) can attend the tournament without a mandatory stay. Please contact secretary@devonwalkingfc.co.uk to discuss the options.

While the registration and the payment of the tournament fee secure the place of the team at the tournament, the team is only allowed to play at the tournament without staying at Ashbury Resort for at least 2 nights.

All accommodation bookings will be handled by Ashbury Resort on a per-team basis AFTER the tournament participation has been confirmed by the Devon WFC.

Cancellations:

Should the Devon WFC have to cancel the tournament, participants who have already booked accommodation will receive a full refund.

Travel arrangements:

You will have to organise your own travel arrangements (flights, transfers, visa, etc.).

The Devon WFC cannot provide travel arrangements, book flights etc.

Do not book travel arrangements BEFORE your participation at the tournament has been confirmed by the Devon WFC.
