The objectives of the Devon Walking Football Club are:
- Promote the game of Walking Football for players of the age of 50 or over (men) and of the age of 40 or over (women)
- Represent the Walking Football Association (WFA) in Devon and represent Devon in the WFA
- Cooperate with the Football Association (FA) via the Devon County FA (Parent County Association)
- Offer membership by invitation to eligible players. Players that are registered as members of a club affiliated with the WFA, and/or the FA (via the Devon County FA) are eligible for membership
- Organise and manage training and selection of Devon County representative selections for the following age groups (or any age groups recognised by the WFA and/or FA at the time)
- Men: 50+, 60+, 65+, 70+, and 75+
- Women: 40+, 50+, 60+
- Organise and manage participation of Devon representative selections in intercounty tournaments/leagues across Devon, the Southwest, Nationally, and Internationally
- Organise and manage participation of Devon representative selections in tournaments other than the Devon County FA affiliated leagues
- Organise and manage referee courses with the aim to increase the number of WFA qualified referees
- Organise and manage walking football events for members of the Community to participate in arranged sessions and games with the aim of extending the positive impact on communities of walking football
- Promote equality of opportunity, eliminate unlawful discrimination, and encourage good relations between people of different groups irrespective of race, religion, gender, age or disability.
Eligibility criteria for becoming a member of the Devon Walking Football Club:
Players are eligible to become a member of the Devon WFC and play for a Devon county selection, if their main/home club is domiciled in Devon.
